Dr. Joseph D. Bedich DDS, FAAID, DABOI/ID, MAGD graduated in 1984 from Miami University, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Zoology. Dr. Bedich went on to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) Degree in 1988. After graduation, he was a resident from 1988 to 1990 in the General Practice Residency Program at Buffalo General Hospital, S.U.N.Y. Buffalo, New York where he was appointed Chief Resident in his second year.

Dr. Bedich went into private practice in 1990. Always a student looking to learn the latest cutting-edge trends and techniques in dentistry, Dr. Bedich has taken over 2000 hours of continuing education in many dental disciplines that include: I.V. and Oral Sedation, Implant Dentistry, Head and Neck Pain Management, Esthetic Injections, Sleep Apnea, Endodontics, and Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Bedich earned Fellowship and Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry, Fellowship status in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and Diplomate status in the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. He also holds a permit to provide patients with IV sedation.

Dr. Bedich married his high school sweetheart, Robin, in 1985, where they both attended Howland High School in Warren, Ohio. They have two sons, Joe and Daniel. During his time off Dr. Bedich enjoys traveling with his family and scuba diving. He is a member of the Cortland Rotary, where he was a past president. Dr. Bedich is also a lector at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren, Ohio.

He and his wife enjoy going to NASCAR races and concerts.  The most important time away from the office for Dr. Bedich is when he gets to spend time with his grandchildren.

Meet Dr. Josh R. Fromel, DMD

There is a big change happening that will greatly benefit current patients and those seeking dental care at The Center For Progressive Dentistry. Starting July 1, 2024, Dr. Joseph Bedich and his team welcomes Dr. Josh Fromel to the practice. Dr. Fromel is a Canfield native who is currently finishing up a Dental Residency at the Cleveland VA. He earned his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University.

With the addition of Dr. Fromel, patients will be able to schedule appointments without the long wait that has frustrated Dr. Bedich. "Now that we have Dr. Fromel with us, we will be able to get patients in much quicker," said Dr. Bedich. "Our team has also committed to see same-day emergencies for current and new patients. Over the years, this has been difficult for us due to a busy schedule and just one dentist. Dr. Fromel is exactly what I have been looking for in adding a dentist to the practice. I know that someday, when I retire from practicing, my patients will have someone to continue the standard of care I have worked over thirty-two years building. I have complete confidence in Dr. Fromel."
