Meet Dr. Joseph D. Bedich
Dr. Joseph Bedich is the founder and lead dentist at The Center for Progressive Dentistry. He brings decades of experience and a passion for innovation to every patient he serves. Known for his gentle approach and commitment to staying at the forefront of dental advancements, Dr. Bedich has built a practice centered on excellence, comfort, and compassion.
He has completed over 3000 hours of continuing education in a wide range of dental disciplines, including implant dentistry, Conscious IV sedation, cosmetic enhancements, and complex restorative care. With extensive training and certifications, Dr. Bedich is uniquely qualified to provide advanced treatment options that improve outcomes and patient comfort. He takes pride in delivering exceptional care to individuals with complex dental needs, anxiety, or physical limitations—ensuring every patient receives the treatment they deserve.
Education & Credentials
Dr. Bedich earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from Miami University in 1984 and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1988. He then completed a two-year General Practice Residency at Buffalo General Hospital in New York, where he served as Chief Resident in his second year. Since opening his private practice in 1990, he has pursued extensive continuing education in implantology, sedation, esthetic dentistry, and pain management.

Beyond the Practice
A lifelong resident of Ohio, Dr. Bedich married his high school sweetheart, Robin, in 1985. They have two sons and love spending time with their growing family, especially their grandchildren. Outside the office, Dr. Bedich is an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers and he enjoys scuba diving, attending NASCAR races and concerts, and traveling with his loved ones. He is also active in the local community as a member and past president of the Cortland Rotary and serves as a lector at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren.
In his free time, Dr. Bedich also enjoys photography, outdoor activities, and learning about history and science. His curious, hands-on nature carries over into both his personal life and his dental philosophy—always striving to explore, understand, and deliver the best in everything he does. Those who know him appreciate his sense of humor, approachable demeanor, and the genuine care he shows both in and out of the office.
